Robert Dixon gave us a quote of $36,000 to repair and remodel our mobile home on April 2, 2022. The first thing we thought was that he would have professional do the painting. We requested that inside cabinets should be painted as outside. When we inspected the painting work it was not up to what we had paid for. It was unfinished globs of paint all over the house. They did not cover holes they painted over outlets and switches. It looks awful the left the wall paper on and now there is peeling. He never finishes a room he starts. We have no closet doors we have an unfinished bathroom. We have electrical trouble because he work on thing and left it unfinished. We have a front porch unfinished as he just up and quit when we told him it looked cheap and thing what we paid for. All around he never worked more than a couple hours a week. We were quoted $36,190.00 we have paid $30,000 and nothing is what we thought it would be. It is like he doesn't care what his work looks like. Cheap and fast. We gave him money to do what we wanted but he did what he wanted. We feel like he should have had the professional people do the job not himself. We thought we were contracting someone to get the right people to do what needed to be done. Resolution Sought We would like him to have professional repair people come and complete the job. He needs to have an electrician come. He needs to have roofers come. He needs to fix the bad paint job. He just needs to finish the job with people that care and know what they are doing. If not we want our money back so we can hire someone else. He just can't quit with so much unfinished.

Company Response

8/2/2022

Company states; In response to Mr. Mrs. Gray's complaint, I will state my reasons why I feel their complaints are not justified Mrs. Gray originally told us that she only wanted the outside of her cabinets painted. Her husband had bantered with her about if she would like to have the insides painted as well. Mrs. Gray had eventually come to the conclusion of sticking to her original request of only painting the outside of the cabinets. However, Mrs. Gray is now making the complaint that the insides of the cabinets were not painted yet this was made clear before the job was started that only the outside of the cabinets would be painted. Mrs. Gray had also made a complaint regarding globs of paint all over the house. Mr. Mrs. Gray requested that all their walls be textured. The process of texturing in laymen's terms splatters globs of "mud", technically called texture, all over the walls. I believe this process is what Mrs. Gray is simply confusing with us leaving globs of paint all over the house. However, the hous was then painted and received a new floor installment after texturing, meaning the result was a clean enough finish for whatever confusion Mrs. Gray may have originally had to be resolved. The fact that Mrs. Gray has stated this complaint in her letter can only leave me to believe this complaint is now a false one. One that was resolved after the paint covered the texture and a new floor was installed leaving the house incapable of paint globs. The outlets were all taped up but they said they were going to change them all since they were all mismatched throughout the hourse. however, we took the initiative to tape the outlets up anyway. Mrs. Gray complained about leaving wallpaper up and now there is peeling. But I brought this to her attention about the process of why I was not completely removing it. This reason ws that it was made onto the sheetrock. Mrs. Gray told us that it was okay and to continue with the job and let's see how it turns out. This complaint was also never brought to my attention.
