We are writing in regards to your Presentation of Loss/Damage Claim filed as a result of your relocation from Pittsburgh, PA to Pittsburgh, PA on February 15, 2021. Respectfully, we refer you to the enclosed copy of your submitted claim form as post-marked June 14, 2021 to include a copy of the envelope in which the claim form was mailed. We are also including the Claim Filing Procedures/Instruction brochure which was included in your claim packet detailing the filing requirements. These requirements were in fact repeated several times and also in the initial estimate provided to you prior to the relocation. Please direct your attention to the highlighted area at the top of the claim form where it clearly states & highlighted "LOCAL & INTRASTATE (WITHIN PA) CLAIMS MUST BE FILED WITHIN (30) THIRTY DAYS FROM DATE OF DELIVERY", also on the reverse side of the form again highlighted "(30) THIRTY CALENDAR DAYS FROM DATE OF DELIVERY". Since the date of your delivery was February 15, 2021, the expiration date in which to file your claim in writing within the (30) thirty day limitation expired on March 17, 2021 we must respectfully deny. Your claim form was received (89) eighty nine days past the strict requirement date of March 17, 2021. Respectfully, the importance of filing within your limitations and also substantiating your claim as notations in writing at time of delivery is of utmost importance as the carrier cannot be held liable with such a time lapse or proof, also the exclusion of the certificate in which was provided to you as coverage at no cost by the carrier does not provide coverage for items such as jewelry, figurines or damages that were not noted at time of delivery, you signed off on your delivery documents advising the job was well done, the truck was emptied and you inspected your good with no incidents or damages. You also gave your movers a tip for their fine work. Since we must rely on the documentation to make a proper assessment of your claim, we cannot honor your claim due to the time limitations in filing your claim past the strict requirement date of March 17, 2021 and no noted substantiation.
