1. I have a receipt ( no business name ) for $550.00 , only shows 100. Deposit, 10.00 membership fee, and $140.00 meter installation fee, shows no record for the other $250. 2. On the 19th I was called by Mr. Rigdon And was told " I have bad news" installer (Jeff Alexander) needs 1,200. More for boring fees , ( contract I signed Says they are responsible for main line to meter), then I went there to pay the 1,200. More and in 45 mins. Mr. Rigdon says " Mr. Alexander misquoted, it's 2,000. Boring fee,, needless to say I asked for my original 550. back and left. Mr. Rigdon never would give me cost sheet explaining these made-up fees. I really believe they are embezzling through a government business. 3. Now going on 3 months, still do not have a water meter on my property. Resolution Sought Explain what the 250. On my original recipe was for, that get itemized And give me an itemized full cost, breakdown sheet for installing a public water meter.

In reference to your correspondence received in our office on 12-1-21, Duffee Water Association's policy for a new water meter is $10 Membership, $100 deposit and $440 installation unless a road bore is required in the main water line. The main water line is on the opposite side of the road as customer desires to put a water meter. Duffee Water Association is only responsible for putting down the meter and connecting to the main water line unless is across on the other side of the road then the customer is responsible for paying for the road bore. Duffee Water Association does not do road bores, but possibly can hire someone to do it. The contractor we had always used recently died. The last road bore we have heard about was $2,100. We do not have any cost sheet showing only fees, as we have no way of showing what the contractor will charge.

I have a signed receipt from Mr. Rigdon showing : 100.00 as deposit, 10.00 membership, and 140.00 installation ,, does not say what the other 250.00 is for. And now he's saying the boring fee is 2100.00 instead of last quote of 2000.,, He just keeps going up. And will not give me anything in writing showing the charges.. This is a typical Mississippi business "good old boys" screwing .I don't need their 50 year old lead pipe water anyway, I'll have a well put in, probably cleaner than theres
