Duke Energy applied my current payments from a previously closed account and then sent me past due and shutoff notices for my current locations. Then after 3 calls when they realized and admitted their complaint, they said they would send a refund for the overpayment of $77. This was October....it is now December 9th....and the story changes every time but now 78 days I don't have my refund check. I have called 8 (EIGHT) times now and they are telling me it was printed Nov. 18th but no record of sending it. This is absolutely ridiculous. To post payments to a closed account, then threaten to cut off my power for non-payment even though the payments were sent electronically to them and they coded them to a closed account and continued to collect money and let it sit there. THEN, to continue to tell me to wait (78 days) for a check to be sent is inexcusable. They have no issue with getting my bills to me..but I want action. Resolution Sought Send my refund check of $77

My mother has rental property and she can't rent the property because the new renters can't get power at the property . The reason they can't is from past renters didn't pay there power bill . The new tents have good standing to the power company where they lived somewhere else and paid there power bill and don't owe nothing or they have never had power in there name .They can't get power at my mother's rental properties because of past tents didn't pay there power bill . They want 3000.for one property and 2500 for another . Well the new tents have been running a generator for the past 9 months they are now moving because they can't afford no longer to run the generator that costs them 1000 a month for gas because the gas prices have went up now my mother can't rent the property because of this how can we fix this problem it's not our bill to pay neither is the new tents responsibility to pay for someone else's bill Resolution Sought To restore power to my rental properties
