Customer Complaint

I purchased a 2014 Chevy Sonic a little over two years ago and it's had issues right from the start. When I purchased it, the front window never worked right, but I had no idea it would turn out to be such a major thing and thought I could deal with it. At one point, just after purchasing it, the car smelled like it was overheating and I pulled over. When I opened the hood, the oil had almost completely drained. I brought it in and they repaired something on it, for which I ended up having to return it and pay for the next repair. My air conditioner went out, then the plug in for my phone went out, then my back window began to malfunction. Then my check engine light came on and I brought it in to find out the problem and I was told the car has soo many codes on it, many the repair shop has not even seen before and it's all stemming from electrical system problems. It would cost me a minimum of 500 just to figure out what exactly is going on with it. They also said something about the heater is going to become an issue. I am making very high interest payments, or was, on a car that's completely shot! I have emailed the owner and asked him to please either repair this vehicle or replace it and received no response. I also trusted them on the extended warranty and it is lousy coverage. I specifically told the salesman I didn't need any new license plates because in Wisconsin they just transfer to your next vehicle, he ordered new plates anyway. Never told me it used syn.oil Resolution Sought I am asking them to be fair and either repair this vehicle or replace it with a functional car. The salesman also said he would send me a manual and I asked him several times to do that, he never did.

Customer Rebuttal

This company is not registered with the BBB. Also, if you “pride” yourselves on working with customers after sales, I would think just from an ethical standpoint you would not leave someone with a non-functioning vehicle after only two years from sale date. In another response you stated you had been working with me for two years, but went on to say that you were surprised to hear from the attorney general since you had not heard from me since the summer of 2020? That’s a very contradictory statement in my opinion. I was also looking up the VIN for recalls and found 4, however they went off the open recall list yesterday. I am contacting the dealership to see about bringing this vehicle in for inspection due to that and the fact that there were so many electrical codes that came up when checking to see why the check engine light came on. I spoke with someone there yesterday and I was told they would like it to be done by the dealership itself. So, I will be in further contact with you when I have the results from their test. I also plan to ask them about the (coincidence) of the recalls coming off the open list yesterday and see if they will check to see if my car has those issues
