We received your correspondence through the Business Consumer Alliance portal on April 02, 2024, in which you mentioned that EarnIn had double-debited your account on 03/29/24 for transfer outs that were already repaid on 03/15/24. On 03/15/24, your bank account was debited a total of $122.98 as a repayment for the two transfers: $60.99 on 2/29/24 and $61.99 on 03/13/24. On 03/29/24, your bank account was scheduled to debit a total of $123.98 ($61.99 +$61.99) for the two transfers, both for $61.99 and both performed on 03/15/24. Based on the information provided, we don't notice any discrepancy between the repayment history and upcoming debits. RESPONSE: Agreed to make an adjustment Amount in Dispute: $80.00 Amount Settled: $0.00

Customer Complaint

11/4/2022

They have set my payroll deduction date for November 10th because November 11th is bank holiday. I advised them my employer still deposits on November 11th. They asked me to share my employer information and the app that they use will not allow me to share anything although I've reset the permission several times. They are intentionally causing me an overdraft fee. When they have advised them several times the money will not be there. They then advise they cannot withdraw on a bank holiday so I asked them to change the withdrawal date to November 14th they declined. This app is supposed to allow you to borrow money until your next payday and they are actually going to cause me to overdraft my account and I've reached out to them several times and they give me the same response every time and it's not even helpful. Tell them if I was trying to defraud them would I be asking them to move the payday one day? Would I be asking several times? Would I try to reach out to them through several means they do not care to resolve the dispute. Resolution Sought I would like them to change their payroll direct deduction to November 14th to avoid an overdraft fee.

Thank you for contacting us. After receiving your complaint we were able to reschedule your debit from 11/11/22 to 11/14/22, and the funds were debited on the 14th. We sent you an email on 11/08/22 to confirm the rescheduling but did not hear back from you. Please note that our records show that you received your direct deposit on 11/10/22, as expected. Keep in mind that although your employer may not observe all holidays, direct deposits post based on the federal reserve bank holidays: https://www.federalreserve.gov/aboutthefed/k8.htm. The rescheduled debit is considered a one-time-courtesy reschedule, which our policies allow once every 180 days. Thank you for being a member of our community and please contact us if you have any further questions.
