Bought a car Honda civic lx 2018 from Eastern Motors in laurel in 11/2/2021. After 3 months in 1/22 car broke down in the middle of 495 died completely, had to have emergency services move me to a safe place on the highway. After getting it towed to Honda dealership diagnosis was complete rust and corrosion of electrical harness, mechanics were baffled as to why a 2018 car would have the amount of rust/corrosion it has, as possible it could have been in a flood and why and or how it passed inspection! i should have gone with my gut at the time of purchase and asked why they pushed the car on us so much and used our desperation to get into a car to sell us a half passed car. After going back and forth with Eastern motors they refused to take responsibility and brushed it off that we passed the 30 day guarantee, even though we did take car back twice during that period to their supposed certified mechanic which re-assured us there was nothing wrong with the car after we noticed there was noise coming from the engine and or suspension. Eastern motors do not stand behind their product. I purchased a warranty filed claim which was denied. I contacted and spoke to three mechanics they all say the car has been in some type of flood or was sitting on water. also bolts are missing on the engine that is also very important for the proper function of the engine. Resolution Sought My desired outcome is for Eastern Motors to at least cover the diagnostic cost and replace the electrical harness that is rusted and replace missing bolts, but I will take the total replacement of the electrical harness at least.
