We hired ECK to do electrical work for us! We stated that we needed 30 amp plug in for our motor home! They came and installed the amps! We plugged in our motor home and found out the plug in wouldn't work! They had put in a 30 amp 240volt and the motor home had to be a 30amp 120 volt! It shortened out the motor home and most of the circuits on the appliances plus the marine batteries were all damaged! We took the motor home to Haven, Kansas at a RV specialist! He gave us an estimate of the repairs! They tried to bribe me with $500.00! That tells me that they did do something wrong! They keep telling us that we signed off the invoice so they don't owe us anything! The paperwork says 240! Neither me or my husband said 240! We always said 30amp motor home plug in Resolution Sought Pay for the damage that they did with putting in the wrong voltage for the motor home! They are who we hired, we are the customers who hired them! We know nothing about electrical work

Company Response

Company states: We were contacted by the Crank's to give them a quote. They requested a 230v 30amp outlet. They signed and approved the quote for the 230v 30amp outlet and we came out and performed the work. Mr. Crank later called in and said his camper is not 230v, but it was 120v. He didn't realize this until he plugged it in. We changed his outlet to a 120 at NO cost to him. We do not feel we are responsible for giving him what he asked for the first time we were there. (BCA was issued a copy of the signed estimate approving the 230v receptacle before work was started.) Our insurance company also denied their claim because that's what they requested.
