Well I had another shop look an tell me my head gaskets was blown. So took it to Edward's hear a they need to do a diagnostic first to be sure. So I paid 174 something an they said I had bad head gasket which would be the cost I listed so I had them do that. The same day I pick up before I could get 6 miles down road it ran hot. Call them said bring back to inspect they did said thermostat was bad I said that's part of cooling why we didn't know that ahead of time it's part of cooling system. They want me to pay 515 more to have something I should have known about during the inspection going pick my truck up an it's not fixed an out of 3744.00 dollars Resolution Sought Pay me or install my thermostat an return my truck not running hot

In response to the request to refund $3,744.00 dollars on repair order number 42679. On 12/08/2023 - Customer brought in vehicle with concern of "Customer states he needs head gaskets". Upon further questioning on 12/11/2023, went on a road trip and 3 coil packs failed starts to run hot after a while. new water pump, tstat and radiator. hes says dont worry about the rough idle because he needs to get it tuned. We recommended to replace head gaskets, radiator cap, coolant overflow bottle, Intermediate shaft, door window regulator. We performed block test, failed block test , checked radiator cap, cap not holding pressure , removed, and replaced head gaskets ,topped off fluids , changed oil , bled air from cooling system , checks out ok. Customer paid the bill for vehicle and picked up vehicle. Customer returned on 1/29 with concern of "VEHICLE IS RUNNING HOT AFTER RECENT HEADGASKET REPLACEMENT VEHICLE IS RUNNING HOT AFTER RECENT HEADGASKET REPLACEMENT." We diagnosed it as the thermostat that was installed by another shop prior to us working on it was installed incorrectly. Customer chose not to pay for repairs and took his vehicle. Charges for looking at the vehicle were written off and not charged to customer. Recommend customer return to the shop that installed his thermostat incorrectly to have it installed properly.
