The property manager retaliate on me by making up lies on me and also lied on my termination notice in order to evict my disable son and I. Resolution Sought I would like not to be homeless again by being evicted for something I didn't do and see if this can be resolved in a positive and understanding way because I don't want to be homeless again and I didn't do anything to deserve this.

Company Response

Briefly, our company El Dorado Realty, manages property rentals. We have had our real estate office since 1998, and in the real estate industry since 1991. We do real estate sales and property management in Imperial County. 1. Ms. Ewing was given proper Notice to Vacate when the property owner chose to do so. After we received the property into our inventory, we requested appointments of all the tenants for our initial walkthrough, and all the tenants accommodated except for Ms. Ewing. She has used her illness and disabled son as reasons not to allow access, including COVID. We respected her privacy with those issues, and we never entered her unit, even if Property Management entry was allowed with a 24- or 48-hour Notice of Entry. However, there were other times when she verbally set an appointment day and time, then would not be available to allow entry. . This was from November 2021 onward. 2. She says we retaliated and lied on her Termination notice, for something she didn't do. There were no lies, no retaliation, and in no way was any excuse invented in order to evict her. She was never threatened nor coerced into doing anything. We always strive to do our business in the most professional and courteous manner, and have always shown respect to all, even when others choose not to be. 3, The Notice to Vacate issue was resolved when the property owner decided then to sell the property. The Notice to Vacate was rescinded and she has continued to live in the unit. She can continue to do so as long as she continues to pay the rent and be peaceful with her neighbors. Her rental agreement makes note of peaceful possession, not only for herself but for her neighbors. Therefore, her accusations and complaints have only been to threaten our business with legal action, which is baseless. She is still in the unit.
