I went to get my truck appraised to see if I qualified for a trade in w/ a down payment on a Acura 2019 ILX , once the sales rep Long Huong I believe asked for my keys stating that he was going to do a credit check and then we'd go check out the vehicle together. About 45 mins go by and he comes back with my keys stating "we don't want it" I then said why not , he repeated himself again maybe due to his lack of English , and I said why what did you do to it ? Prior to this he stated he was only going to take pictures. He then said that because my glass on my driver side view mirror was broken , and there was a missing door handle. I found that hard to believe that its the cosmetics being the problem when this is a toyota dealership. Plus before even going there I had got an instant cash offer from them stating theyd take it for 7500. My mother didn't put the correct information on the Kelley Blue Book instant offer she didnt state anything about the two things I listed earlier on top of the power steering pump has a problem. Even with those problems thats under 1000 to fix . So I went to my truck to leave and the battery was dead, he then came out with a battery charger and i started the truck didnt even drive a block and the truck started making a popping sound under the hood . Resolution Sought to take care of the alternator or to show me exactly what was done to my vehicle , since he didn't do the assessment with me being present , I can't just take that this decided to happen now and with no warning.
