Equity Insurance Company is accusing me of being an employee for Door Dash and is terminating my policy and still want me to pay the policy full term amount. I asked Equity to contact Door Dash and confirm that I've NEVER been a Door Dash employee however, they refused and proceeded to move forward in penalizing me. It's WRONG! Resolution Sought I'd like Equity to refrain from punishing me and not charge me for the 6 month policy term if I'm not insured by them, and to STOP spreading false information to other agencies saying I'm a Door Dasher and my vehicles are used for that purpose, IT IS NOT TRUE.

Mr. Williams has requsted assistance in regards to the cancellation of his policy due to commercial use of the insured vehicle. Additionally, Mr. Williams feels he has been charged for the 6-month term premium and has been penalized for the cancellation. He stated he has never worked for Door Dash and should not be penalized for this. However, during the claim investigation for the accident on 10/16/23, claim #2310259145, reported under policy N35**4045, Mr. WIlliams stated during his recorded statement that he was picking up a Door Dash order at the time of the loss on 10/16/23. Equity considers this to be commercial use of the insured vehicle and therefore, is not eligible for our personal auto insurance program. Equity has not charged Mr. Williams for a full 6-month premium for policy N35***531 was $507.00 Mr. Williams made a down payment of $118.00. The amount for insurance for the dates in which there was coverage, 11/27/23 to 12/11/23, was $57.00. Therefore, Equity has issued a refund of $61.00 for the unused premium. This refund is being mailed to the insured.
