I made a large IRA distribution in early 2023, specifically timing it to occur in 2023 to avoid paying a higher tax rate in 2022. ETrade reported the distribution as 2022 income to the IRS, and refuses to correct their accounting error. They also stopped executing my standing RMD order from my beneficiary IRA this year. I feel their service and accountability has suffered severely since the takeover by Morgan Stanley, and hope they will address my complaints to my satisfaction and the satisfaction of the IRS. Resolution Sought Revise irs income reporting to the IRS for my main IRA, and address their failure to continue the standing RMD order for my beneficiary IRA to satisfy laws regarding mandatory distributions.
