I was looking for duplexes, and I saw 1 I liked I had to go on line and fill out the information so I could get the key to look at the place, 305 west 50 unit B, I do all the necessary things to get the lock box to open and I get the key, I look inside and I call back they tell me to go online and fill out the application to get approved. I did that, I went online paid the 65$ and finished the application, I was approved . I am on housing, she told me to bring my paperwork to the office on the the 9th because they were closed. So at any rate I went to drop.off my paperwork, and no one was there. She asked me to leave it in the drop box so I did. On the 10th she emailed me( Claudia Loyo) is who I'm referring to, the leasing coordinator. She told me someone had already put a deposit down! I was so disappointed, because I had to borrow the 65$ because I really wanted the place. The add was still up even after she told me it wasn't available. I have all the emails. There's no telling how many people lost 65$ for the duplex, and how many more will pay an application fee to be disappointed. I think they are purposely taking people's money. I just got my paperwork back today, cause the office has been closed. I have emails and text messages, congratulating me on being approved, I was excited cause it was affordable and convenient, I would have never did the application if I knew someone had already paid their deposit. Resolution Sought Refund my application fee, and make sure they take down adds with deposits already them.
