My 13 year old daughter was abducted by her father in July. The Monday after it it happened I hired David J Baines to help me legally get her back. I paid him a retainer of $3,000. A week later I found out I had to move. I tried to back out then. The court was not moving fast enough to get her back before school started. He told me he would use school as a way to speed this up. Well a month and a half passed, he went on vacation for 2 weeks while his secretaries/paralegals worked on typing up an answer for a custody complaint. He did not do that work, he was aware I was agitated by how long things were taking. He never listened to anything. He talked to me like I needed a father. He called me irrational and standard names men call women. I told him I would not need his services in September. It took weeks to finalize this. After doing nothing but having his paralegal type of a two page answer, and that's it he kept all $3,000. He of course build everything at his fee even though his assistants did all the work. And that one two page answer had to be revised the number of times because they weren't detailed enough to notice it was wrong. They wasted my time, they wasted my money, and I still don't have my child back. He made it difficult to do anything. I paid him $3,000 to vilify his own client. At one point I told him, they were so slow that I would go get her back from South Carolina myself. He told me that was illegal. When a lawyer does you dirty who do you turn to? Resolution Sought I want a reasonable amount of my money back. If nothing else I want other people to know this law firm will just exploit you.

Just another Tom Girardi. Stealing from clients to support their lifestyle. It's sad but public defenders do a better job than paid lawyers. I really just filed out these complaints, and left reviews to try and save other people from this. I already know they will not reimburse me.
