Customer Complaint

Consumer alleges: Exo Energy came to my house claiming to be affiliated with Sunrun. They claimed that Sunrun sent them because I needed ten more solar panels on my home. When I asked them if Sunrun had sent them, they said yes, and I was asked how much I paid a month and that was suspicious how they did not know how much I paid a month. After they left they kept calling me to sign the contract. Once I finally signed the contract they told me to call Edison Company to activate the ten installed panels. Finally, I noticed in my bank statement that Sunrun had charged my account , and also Sunnova Energy had charge my son's account also. Then, immediately, I contacted Sunrun and told them the problem and when I told Sunrun that the company they sent me was charging me twice. The company Sunrun told me they never sent Sunnova to my house. That's when I realized Exo Energy had made a wrong contract and scammed me. Resolution Sought I would like for the contract that I made with Exo Energy to be immediatley terminated and any charges that were charged to my son's account to be refunded. I am in no financial situatin to be paying tow different solar companies.

Company states: That specific customer was completed in 123 days. Which is faster than the industry average. If the customer has a complaint the best thing to do is to call our customer service line. The customer has that number as I see notes on the account saying that we have communicated with her. Using a third party company that has nothing to do with anything that we've done seems like the worst possible solution

Consumer called stating she does not agree with this response. Your company approach her with lies and made her believe you were a different company. Now her bill continues to go up monthly which was not the agreement. The representatives that came to her house, did not speak English and her English is not well. She was made believe that Sunrun send them to put in 10 more panels and she thought it was true. The contract was in English, her state law the contract should be in my primary language which is Spanish. She has called countless times however nothing is resolved. She is not the only victim of this fraud, several of her neighbors were lied to as well. Consumer wants this contract terminated.
