I had my medication order sent to express scripts who advised me that my prior authorization was denied. They are now refusing to run it through my secondary insurance, refusing to send the med order to another pharmacy and refusing to accept cash. My provider is not comfortable sending a third controlled med order to a third pharmacy as my meds are on backorder with many suppliers due to supply chain issues. They said they have it in stock but are holding my meds hostage. Resolution Sought I want them to accept cash through my FSA, run my other insurance or release the med order. I have MS and I'm in desperate need of my meds.

A coverage review was conducted yet denied for not meeting clinical criteria. Ms. Gaubatz requested that her secondary insurance be billed instead; however, she was informed that her primary insurance could not be bypassed in order to bill her secondary plan. Express Scripts discussed all concerns with Ms. Gaubatz who voiced understanding.
