My jeep's PTU left me stranded on the side of road on February 3rd. I had it towed to the dealership. I called jeep customer care about a warranty that mopar had sent out about my style of jeep and that they had problems with the PTU. According to the warranty, it is for 2017 jeep Cherokee with the 9 speed. Also, said jeeps have to be 150,000 or less and be 8 years old or less. Which this is my jeep. It also states that the build date has to be on or before October 10th, 2016. Mine was built on February 22nd, 2017 according to jeep customer care. Now, the only thing wrong with my jeep is the PTU according to the dealership. I feel that my jeep should be included in the warranty. It has a defected PTU. Jeep doesn't see it that way. It shouldn't matter when the build date was. That jeep is my work and family vehicle. I am low income and cannot pay the $3690 to the dealership when it is completed. I want jeep to make it right, and fix the defected part. I can send the proof of Mopar extending the warranty for these jeeps. Obviously they didn't fix the original problem on all the jeeps. Resolution Sought I want the company to make it right and pay for the defected part. They needed to extend the warranty on all jeep Cherokee for that year. It shouldn't matter when the built date is.
