The numerical value of the sum involved that I had to put in the above slot doesn't do justice to what happened due to the non-existant customer support Final Draft offers. I missed a deadline due to their non-existent customer support. Support that relies on ineffective AI bots, and email responses that arrive days and days after a request has been submitted. Final Draft does not offer effective screenwriting tools for this reason yet they charge a hefty sum for their product. They live in their bubble - because so many writers are forced to use it - so they have just cheapened and cheapened the support they offer. I am actively searching for alternatives, and there seem to be a couple that offer telephone support. If smaller and less reputable screenwriting software programs, make the effort of having telephone support what does that say about a company like Final Draft? It says that they absolutely do not care about their paying customers and they treat them as a commodity that can be shuttled around by useless AI bots. Final Draft used to be held in high esteem but they should be taken off their pedestal. They are a waste of time for writers who have to abide by deadlines and need real-time support when circumstances call for it. I have endured a professional loss and a loss of invested funds because Final Draft couldn't be bothered to have a customer service team that responds in real time. Resolution Sought I would like to be compensated for the loss of the investment I put in my project, believing that Final Draft, would offer assistance in case of a glitch. Most importantly, I would like Final Draft to form a CS Team that can answer phone inquiries. Otherwise, as a company that offers a technical software product, they should go out of business if they can only offer AI bots and non-existent customer support. They charge a decent sum yet offer absolutely no support. Accountability is essential.

The customer's initial support request was sent on Friday May 8th at 10:38PM, after our close of business. She was responded to on Monday, May 11th, at 4:31 PM PST. Our SLA, available on our website and on the chatbot, is a one business day turnaround on responses, and she was responded to within 7 business hours.
