Complaint Resolution Index (CRI) Explained The Complaint Resolution Index (CRI) is an indicator on how responsive a company is in addressing and resolving customer complaints brought to their attention by BCA. If they are considering doing business with the company, consumers can use this indicator to forecast the likelihood of having their issues addressed if a problem arises. CRI measures the company's customer satisfaction abilities through BCA’s complaint mediation process.

A variety of factors are considered when calculating CRI. This includes how quickly a company responds to complaints, the number of complaints against a company, whether the company addressed complaint allegations, and the outcome of the complaints. CRI is just a subset of the overall rating for the company. First Trust is our mortgage lender for new home we are purchasing in Maumelle AR. We closed on our TX home Tuesday 3/19 anticipating closing on AR home Wednesday 3/20. We got a call from lender and title company that we would probably not be closing yesterday. Underwriting requires certificate of occupancy that has not been requested until yesterday. Confirmed with title company this morning 3/21 that lender has not sent docs to close. Builder graciously allowed us to put our truckload of belongings in the garage. I was unable to speak to anyone at First Trust today. Only text or email. This experience has been devastating. To have a new home and can only sit in the driveway and look at your stuff in the garage. You cannot imagine the amount of stress and anxiety we are experiencing. Not to mention heartbreak. This is totally unacceptable and unforgivable. No "I'm sorry" can fix this. They are home in bed while we are displaced sleeping in our car. They initially lied and said the inspection was not provided by the builder. But the builder doesn't provide certificate of occupancy. They even told me to ask the builder if we could stay in the house. This is not the builders problem. Resolution Sought I am requesting monetary compensation for the amount of anxiety and stress this has caused us. The builder is charging holding fees until we take possession of the house. We have paid for days through 3/20. This is the our retirement adventure which has turned into a nightmare. And someone needs to be held accountable. I am requesting any additional holding fees be paid by First Trust and all origination fees be waived. And the cost of any post stress treatment caused by the huge blunder.
