I bought my truck back in January and it started having problems the end of February, we took it to them they said it was the rack and pinion and that it wasn't under warranty. So I've just now acquired the money to fix it and we took it to my bf mechanic, it was said there that it was the transmission due to it going into limp mode. We contacted the place to see if they would reimburse us since I paid for the truck in full 19 grand. They basically told us no Resolution Sought I would like to be reimbursed for what I had to pay for a new transmission (2,450) and also having to be without a truck for 4 months when I paid 19 grand for it.

Ms Perman did purchase a 2014 Ram 1500 Laramie from our business on January 22nd for 518995. This used pickup was sold with a 3mo/3k mile limited power train warranty. Within that 3 month period, Ms Perman brought the vehicle to us to diagnose, stating it was having issues. Upon diagnosis, the truck was determined to have a faulty electric power steering pump, hence why the problem wasn't constant, but ihtermitent. We informed Ms Perman of the issue and advised that it is not part of the power train, thus the warranty company denied coverage. Ms Perman stated she was going to think about what to do and let us know ln the meantime, the truck sat at our location for several weeks before being picked up at Ms Permans request. She denied any repairs. Several months later she contacted us stating the transmission had failed and wanted us to reimburse her for the replacement transmission, after the fact. The truck was never in limp mode while in our possession, only faulty steering that would intermittently lock up the steering wheel and be unable to drive, exactly her description before bringing the truck in to us. We then advised her that not only has her warranty expired, but in the paperwork provided to her, a diagnosis and evaluation is required prior to any work being completed. She disagreed with the warranty contract and again demanded that we pay for her transmission or she will seek legal counsel. At that point we reiterated the fact that her truck was out of warranty and she did not follow the proper protocol and that there was nothing more we could do, We also informed her that we would no longer be responding to messages after threatening us. Since then we have ceased all contact. We have followed protocol and the law in this matter LA?%. We have tried to assist Ms Perman in every way that we could. Unfortunately, her transmission failed after the warranty period and there is nothing the warranty company will do. lf she had brought this to our attention before having it installed, we would have assisted in installing the transmission ourselves, but we do not pay retail for outside shops to complete work that we do in house. At this point, there is nothing to be done and the matter is closed.
