1) I am a senior living on social security in Taylors SC. 2) five star cooling and heating co. Damaged my cooling system in order to sell me a new system with a value of $ 16,000. 3) basicly five star cooling charged me a service charge for a sales pitch and, then switched the wiring on the capacitor to make it look like my system would no longer run. Also said that the frion which my system runs on was no longer being sold . 4) as a women in my seventies i sat here is my house in the sweltering heat for 4 weeks trying to figure out how i was going to come up with that amount of money to replace my heating and cooling system which is what they said i was going to have to do. 5) so i got a second service company to look at my system. Thank god they were honest people and they repaired my unit for $300. Resolution Sought I REPORTED THIS TO THE CUSTOMER SERVICE WOMEN AT FIVE STAR COOLING. SHE ASSURED ME THAT THEY ARE INDEED A FIVE STAR COMPANY. SHE SAID SHE WAS SORRY THAT HAPPENED AND SHE WOULD REFUND MY SERVICE CHARGE. NEEDLESS TO SAY SHE HAS NOT REFUNDED MY MONEY. THEY ARE CROOKS ALL OF THEM !!! THERE IS NOTHING FIVE STAR ABOUT THAT COMPANY.!!! I WANT MY MONEY BACK AND I WANT THE PUBLIC TO BE MADE AWARE OF HOW I WAS TREATED AND CHEATED BY THIS COMPANY.

Company states: On 8/11/22, Five Star sent a service tech to customer's home due to it was not blowing any air. When tech arrived, the unit is 21 years old with out of date refrigerant. Five Star recommended replacement due to the age of the equipment and R-22 refrigerant is now obsolete. Customer only paid Five Star a $49.00 dispatch fee at the time of service. This dispatch fee was promptly refunded on 8/30/22 when customer contacted us regarding her dissatisfaction. This was refunded the same day, 8/30/22 back to the credit/debit card customer paid with. It can take 5-7 business days depending on customer's credit card/bank company to reflect back into their account.

The age of my system has nothing to do with anything. The fact is they crossed the wires up so it would look like My system was unfixable. And then tried to sell me a new system. That's dishonest, right!!!. Who would do that to a senior??? (5 Star Heating and Air would do that RIGHT.) She did refund my money.
