That 10 surcharge should be " GONE " we're in a financial struggling economy, these " PRIZE GOUGING " companies don't give a damn. about our consumer

I went to two of these grocery stores, these are located on our west side of town and I was super prized to see signs ALL OVER these stores advising ALL that there would be a 10 fee @ checkout registers along with the ( total & taxes ) , asked manager why would they add a 10 extra charge to our total cost , he replied, cause their food was at cost prices , and he replied cause they COULD, and 80 of their customers were EBT card holders , they didn't mine, I then told him that should be against the LAW, because their are cash paying customers, like myself are others here , and he replied " IT is what it IS ??
