I wanted to buy eggs the store had them But the manager did not want to sell me any

I wanted to buy eggs the store had them But the manager did not want to sell me any Because she said they didn't know the price. I am sure they wanted to overcharge!!! Ok the store had the eggs Why not sell them I have a family I need to feed Please help me! This happened this morning around 10:30 am March 21 2020
