F150 Ford was worked on to replace the heater blend door. Should have been a 2 or 3 hr. job. Took them 3wks. Brought it home and it wouldn't shift. The mechanic forgot to put back a part. Took another wk. in shop. 1 yr. later and having the same issue. They don't want to honor the warranty Resolution Sought Fix it and reimburse the over charge.

In regards to the complaint that was made, the customer had their vehicle in our shop over 12 months ago. The time period that is indicated in complaint was not 3 weeks but only 2 weeks due to the failed parts being on national back-order status by Ford because of the global pandemic and the customer was notified of that at that time. The customer contacted us on February 17th 2022, a full calender year since original repair was completed with concerns of their heater not functioning properly again and an appointment was made at that time for Monday March 14th 2022 at 9:00am for diagnoses and necessary repairs to the vehicle. When the customer called into our service department, that was the first time we have heard from the customer in over 12 months since the original repair was made to their vehicle. If the heater issues that are present now are coming from the blend door actuator, Ford Part # FL3Z19E616B Motor Assembly or Ford Part # FL3Z19788A Cam which was replaced on Repair Order #62975 which I have enclosed a copy for your viewing, those 2 parts and labor necessary to replace failed parts would be covered under warranty by Ford Motor Company. Upon diagnoses and inspection of the Heater/ AC system in the vehicle, if other parts would need to be replaced other than the 2 items replaced originally, that would be at customer expense including diaginose time, labor and a quote for repairs would be given to customer at that time for authorization to complete. Summarizing everything, the customer has 2 years unlimited mileage warranty on all parts purchased and installed in our service department on Repair Order #62975 dated on February 15th 2021.
