They refused to pay for a rental car after their client hit my vehicle. It was in the shop for almost 50 days and now are dragging their feet to reimburse me what I paid out of pocket for for a rental. They told me all I needed was a receipt from the place I rented it from, which was provided multiple times. I asked in the very beginning of the situation if it could be through anyone and was told yes as long as I could provide a receipt. They are now stating what I submitted is not good enough for them. They are not responding to any calls/emails either now that I asked to speak to a manager. Resolution Sought To refund me what I am owed

Please be advised that the complainant in this matter is not our consumer but rather a third-party claimant pursuing a claim for damages against our insured's policy. A member of our staff has been in contact with the complainant, explaining the information needed to complete our investigation for the rental reimbursement. I have not gotten responses from the adjuster when I have left multiple emails and phone calls asking to speak to her manager since I’m not getting anywhere on getting the money I paid for for a rental. I am the one trying to get back the money I paid. I am not getting any information back from Founders and I provided everything they stated was needed at the beginning of this whole situation (which was an itemized receipt with company name/address). This is all they stated was needed from multiple adjusters and I obtained that and sent in to multiple adjusters. Yet Im still waiting a month+ later with no refund.

Founders has received the rental; however, we have been unable to verify the validity of the business. We have requested the tax identification number of the rental company, however, as of today we have not received that. Until we are able to verify the validity of this rental company, we are unable to move forward. Please note that the party involved in this matter is a third-party claimant pursuing Founders insured policy.

My vehicle was in an accident it was parked at a gas pump it was hit by the client that was covered with your company that was covered by Founders insurance company I called the company and made a report I talked to a lady named Kistia she said that she will call me back, she gave me a report number 1000271219 it has been a month now every time I call her it goes straight to her voicemail, no one is trying to help me no one has called me. Imagine you are just getting off work and you go into the gas station to pay for gas and you come out and your car is totaled now everyday you have to pay someone to take you to work and take you home this is been very frustrating for me, I have nothing to do with this crash I really am an innocent bystander I really like to get this resolved as quickly as possible it has been a month and someone really help me out Resolution Sought The lady half full coverage on her insurance so I would like compensation and I would like someone to show that they understand that I am an innocent bystander so some compassion would be like nice and I will like a phone call back. I've been paying someone to take me to work and taking me home everyday for a month now

This loss was investigated and it was determined that our insured was 20 at fault for the complainant's damages. The Founders insured was being chased at the time of the incident which was the proximate cause for the loss. The perpetrator was consequently arrested. A Founders supervisor spoke with the complainant on June 28, 2023 to explain same. The complainant's vehicle damages are being handled at 20 by the Total Loss Department. An offer was provided on June 27, 2023 and has yet to be accepted by the complainant.

20 but you want to take out other fees which has nothing to do with me you only want you want to pay me $400 and some dollars when I should get $800 and something dollars that's not fair then I found out that the other vehicle that was chasing vehicle number two which hit my car is also ensure with finders insurance when I asked about this you tell me that the car is insured under another name so I asked if I could get compensation or could you do the investigation and you won't help me this is been very difficult for me

This will serve as a supplement to our initial response. Our liability investigation revealed that Founders insured driver was being chased at the time of the loss and acted as a reasonable and prudent driver would have, given the circumstances. The driver of the chasing vehicle was later arrested due to the incident with the Founders insured. Therefore, liability was assessed at 20% on the Founders insured with the greater negligence (80%) on the driver who was the proximate cause of the crash (the chasing vehicle). Founders discussed this with the complainant on June 27, 2023. Complainant was advised that they would need to seek 80% of their damages from the other at-fault party but that Founders would pay 20% of the damages as the percentage of our insured's negligence for the loss. The damages to the complainant's vehicle caused it to be a total loss. The Total Loss Department ran a valuation on the vehicle and it was determined that after 80% liability was deducted as well as salvage, the offer of $117.32 would be less than an offer of basic transportation. Therefore, a basic transportation offer was provided of $500 for resolution of the complainant's claim with Founders.
