Extremely Lazy and Incompetent
I purchased a car in California with Gateway One financing. I moved to Florida two years later, and they transferred the title to the new state (required by Florida). I then moved to Massachusetts two years after that, and they did not move the title since Massachusetts allows for a memorandum title until release of the lien. At this point, Gateway One SHOULD have moved the title from Florida to Massachusetts since the vehicle was no longer in Florida and no longer registered there. Instead, they put the memorandum title on file and did nothing until I finished paying off the loan. At that point the contacted Florida, released the electronic title, and told me to deal with Florida in moving the title they were supposed to move when I left the state. I contacted Gateway One repeatedly about this, especially after Massachusetts said they still had Gateway One as the lien holder and needed them to release the lien to give me a real title, and Gateway One told me they were done doing anything more with the loan. Now I'm left to pay extra fees to get duplicate titles from states I haven't lived in for years to take to a new state and hope they'll get me another title at my expense. All so Gateway One doesn't have to send a single letter to the RMV. Feel free to use this company if you want to spend extra time and money fixing their laziness and enjoy being thrown away as a customer the second they have their money.

No Refund Due
Had called Gateway One in reference to a recurring payment of Truck to be scheduled to another date. They did not tell me I had to cancel on my own the old existing recurring payment. I received a letter stating payment date had been changed. The bank went on the web to take payment under the old date, and funds was not there in full. Gateway told me by law they did not have to tell me I had to stop the old recurring charges. Therefore charging me a $30.00 late fee. I received letter from them that changes were made. I do not understand what the law has to do with Customer Service and Training. I spoke with two people; one being the Supervisor, that under no circumstances would a refund be made. This is by far, the worst Customer Service I have ever been exposed to. I have been in the Retail sector for over 30 years and it has always been our policy to service the customer. You do not hind behide a policy. Take Care of the Customers.
