I contracted with GC Development & Maintenance on June 5, 2022 for the construction of a swimming pool deck at my home. I met with the owner-member, William Troy Davidson who had requested a 50 deposit "for the labor portion of the project. I wrote a check for $900.00 to the company per its contract to"secure service and reserve schedule slot." The check was deposited that day and the funds were available the next banking business day. On the day that I paid the deposit Mr. Davidson told me that he would begin construction on the deck within the next 5-7 days. That never occurred. On June 16, 2022 after numerous telephone calls and texts between Mr.Davidson and I regarding a start date and meeting for the purchasing of the materials , he informed me via text that his company was unable to commence work on the pool deck, because he was sick and may have Covid 19. He requested that I give him a few days to get his test results before starting work on the project. Four days later I texted Mr.Davidson and explained that I wanted a refund of my $900.00, because he had never gotten back on too many occasions and the 5-7 day time frame that he had given to initiate the project had expired. On June 21, 2022 he responded via text, stating he had Covid19 and requesting that I give him a few days to get organized and that he would return my $900.00 deposit. I haven't received my money and I found out his contract is unlawful. Resolution Sought I would like a full refund of my $900 immediately.
