I have a 2024 GMC. Sierra 2500hd with 18400 miles on it. It has started to have paint flaking on the rear quarter panel, where the rear bumper returns in. The truck has never been in an accident, and GM has agreed to pay for halve of the repair. I don't feel I should have to pay anything, because if they are willing to pay halve, which is$ 1000, they know the problem is from the factory paint job. All I'm asking for is to repair the spot where the paint is flaking, so it won't spread. this truck is used, but that should have no bearing on the case, as it is well within the factory warranty timeline. It is not from road debris, or impact. It is not improper matanance, or a previous repair. Not sure what warranty provision they are relying on. It is a white truck, and could be many things. Adhesion failure, clear coat failure, primer failure , factory paint defect, corrosion under the paint. Serial no. is 1GT59ME7XRF212326. I purchased the truck from Carvana with 17700 miles on it.It has 18400 on it now. Resolution Sought Repair the area where the paint has started to flake off
