About 7-1-2023 my elderly low income parents called George Brazil to check a warranties hot water heater they installed About October of 2020. Jordan George Brazil rep. Came out took 9 photos, looked at some pipes/plumbing, did not look at attic or tub pipes. He verbally quoted them $13500. He said whole house needed to be repiped. My 78 year old dad went to credit union and qualified and was ready to pay George Brazil. They were convinced to sign Jordan 's quote but were told they were not going to get a written quote for 7 to 10 days in the mail. I'm their son Donald. I got another plumber to check. Only 1 of 9 photos had any leaks. Other plumber said that repiping house would only cost from $3000 to $5000. He repaired leak water supply line over hot water heater for a service charge and said no other work needed to be done at this time. I called George Brazil. To replace hot water. Jordan came next day and said cost to replace water heater was $861. This was under warranty. Michael his supervisor came to talk to me and my parents. I told them they were wrong for trying to take advantage of low income elderly people. My dad was going to take out a $13500. 15 year loan. My parents neighbor came and fixed settings in water heater and it's fine. They tried to scam my parents 2x. I asked George Brazil to leave. Michael didn't seem to think Jordan did anything wrong. 6028420009 George Brazil number. Resolution Sought George Brazil needs to be investigated for other potential scams run on low income elderly people and those whom don't know better when fast talking salesman use scare tactics like Jordan from George Brazil did to my parents. A letter of apology for the emotional stress and possible financial ruin of low income elderly people to my parents along with some new training guidelines to prevent overzealous salesman from creating income elderly people debt that they take to tiger grave.

The home in question for Mr. Don Wade was built in 1948. Mr. Wade's entire plumbing system is galvanized piping – a dated plumbing technology that is generally recommended to be replaced to modern standards particularly when it begins to fail or leak since galvanized pipe is subject to rust and corrosion from the hard water that exists in Phoenix. Here a specific leak in the galvanized piping had developed causing a failure of the water heater. A repair was needed, and we made a recommendation to update the entire plumbing system to Mr. Wade. In fact, upgrading your plumbing system from galvanized piping to copper or modern PEX is an improvement that generally increases the value of your home, assists with home insurance rates and scope of coverage for leaks, and helps to minimize future leaks and performance of the plumbing system. It isn't a scam or scare tactic. Rather it is good advice on modernizing a 75-year old home. The homeowners son appears to think that because a band aid approach was done by others that the investment in a replacement to a modern plumbing system is a scam. He is incorrect. The facts are that we presented legitimate and proper options that apparently the homeowner's son vehemently disagrees with. In fact, the homeowner would be wise to confirm that a leak or flood caused by the galvanized plumbing would be covered under his insurance policy. Our technicians prepare upfront written quotes for customers before any work is performed. This gives our customers the opportunity to decide what is best for them and if they want to move forward with the repairs needed. In this case, we gave a quote for a whole home repipe, then later we coordinated another visit (that the customer canceled) for potentially re-piping only a portion of the home, and ultimately we replaced the water heater. We did not charge the customer a penny for the quote or the time spent in creating the re-pipe quotes. We offered to replace the water heater, but we did not replace it. We were paid $0 and there is no amount in dispute.
