I'm a single mom of 3. I work part time and struggle to make ends meet. I needed a safe reliable car for us. It took me a long time to save up money a little bit at a time just here and there. When I finally had enough, I went looking online. I found a nice 2006 Volvo XC90 with 155,000mi on it. It was an hr away, but I went to see it bc it seemed to check all my boxes. The salesman, "Jack" said it was a good car. I gave it a quick test drive and ultimately bought it. Almost immediately after buying, I noticed the transmission slipping A LOT! After only a couple of weeks the car broke down completely while I was on my way to shoot a wedding in Atlanta. I wasn't able to get to work and had to have it towed to a nearby mechanic who said it needed a new transmission and quoted me $5,000. I called the dealership to try to resolve this mess. The secretary said they would do labor for free, but after she heard what was wrong, she said she would talk to the owner and get back to me. It's been weeks now since my car broke, and the dealership hasn't got back to me and hasn't done anything to help. I REALLY NEED a car!!! PLEASE HELP!!! Resolution Sought They either need to fix the transmission (with free labor-like the secretary offered), give me my money back, or give me another car of equal value.
