Company Response

1/19/2022

Company states: Mr. Rojas originally transferred vehicle into his name on September 15, 2021 at which time a temporary plate and registration were issued while he waited for the originals to arrive in the mail. After finalizing any transaction, it is company policy to explain to the customers that after 15 business days if they have not received plate and registration, they need to return to our office to determine what happened with them. Our staff does not recall Mr. Rojas returning into our office inquiring about his plate. When we received complaint notice, we proceeded to check record to review the status of the plate. Record revealed that indeed plate was produced and mailed out to customer. I do not show customer was charged $100 twice, we only have original fee of $90.52 paid. Due to possible mailing issues the Arizona Department of Transportation, ADOT, authorizes us to issue customers no fee replacements, if customer returns to our office, or calls within 45 days of issuance. Under extenuating circumstances, we are allowed to extend these 45 days to 90 days. Since the date complaint was received, we have tried to contact Mr. Rojas via phone, but have been unsuccessful. Mr. Rojas has no picked up nor returned our phone calls so that we can resolve issue. Since he has exceeded the maximum 90 days allowed and has not returned our phone calls and as it is now 115 days later, he no longer qualifies for a no fee replacement we can offer him a place replacement for $12.50.
