We bought a Chevy Silverado 1500 LT 2012 from Gillman Subaru and they kept lying stating that they didn't know what was wrong with the vehicle and they did. They knew that it was misfiring. They sent the truck over to Gunn Chevrolet in Selma and they open up the motor to find that there truly was a major problem. They wanted the truck put back together way that it was and knew that it could not be totally put back together and are trying not to take responsibility for the vehicle. Resolution Sought I would like to switch the vehicle out due to the the lies we were told when they have mechanics that knew the vehicle was a lemon in the first place.

Company Response

Company states; The above referenced customer purchased a 2012 Chevrolet Silverado from our dealership on 3/19/22. At the time of purchase, the customer signed the "Buyer's Guide" and the "As Is Vehicle Acknowledgement". The vehicle had 157,944 miles on it when purchased. The customer brought the vehicle into our service department on 4/16/22. We pulled the service engine codes and found multiple misfires. The customer stated that the spark plugs and wires were replaced independently outside our dealership after the vehicle had been purchased. We had already replaced the spark plugs and wires as part of our normal reconditioning process before we sold the vehicle. Since we had replaced the plugs and wires and the customer replaced them again, we believed the issue could be an internal engine malfunction and recommended the vehicle to a Chevrolet dealership for further diagnosis. The vehicle was then take to a Chevrolet dealership, and they advised us that the customer replaced plugs did not have the proper gap and the plug wires were not installed correctly. We advised the customer that since we did not perform the installation of the latest plugs and wires in the vehicle, we were not responsible for the incorrect installation. It is out understanding that the customer authorized the Chevrolet dealership tear down the vehicle. However, due to the cost of the repairs needed, the customer did not want the work completed. As it is always our preference to have completely satisfied customers, on 4/25/22, we attempted to trade the customer out of the 2012 Chevrolet Silverado. Unfortunately, we were not able to get financing approved after contacting multiple lien holders. Sincerely, Chief Operating Officer
