My name is Gladys and I been trying to get my vehicle payoff for over a month. Progressive sent a check for the amt mention above on 3/24. I called to Global Lending to confirm if the check was received and it was confirmed it was received but it could not be applied because there was a small shortage. I requested to speak the next day on a 3 way with the insurance and again it was confirmed that the check had been received but never applied and that they had the rights to hold the check as long as they wanted, which didn't make any sense to me so I requested to speak to a manager which she stated that they didnot received the check. At this point she increase the payoff amt and deny the fact that the chk was received. Another check was mailed out again on the 17th and as of today 4/24 they stated again the chk has not been received. This situation is unacceptable cause the denial of this chk being received is causing me money out of pocket because the insurance will not pay anymore than the 10 day payoff quote the first time. This is not the way GLOBAL LENDING serves their customers. Resolution Sought I'm requesting that you honor the original payoff and remove the additional $160.00 per diem that has been added. If this isn't resolved, I'll need to file a complaint with the CONSUMER FINANCIAL PROTECTION BUREAU and BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU since this involves failure to properly apply a payoff. I also would like to be notified as this issue is being reviewed and resolved. I also want a confirmation once the payoff is corrected and the additional charges are removed. Initial request for GAP Insurance refund request in late Oct, 2025 via Acura Protection. Check was mailed to GLS at the beginning of December even though vehicle, at this point had already been paid off due to refinance. Global Lending Services account had $0.00 balance upon receiving check. a $1,200 check was received by Global Lending Services on Dec 30th 2025. Initially for 1st week of January 2026 this check was unable to be located and ultimately was located with check number provided by myself. I was informed there was a 17 day waiting period for refund checks to be issued once funds were received and check would be mailed out regular mail on Jan 21st. As of Feb 6th check has still not been received. Contacted Supervisor at GLS and was told the only remedy was to "request stop payment" and issue a new check the same way. This is completely unacceptable from a consumer stand point. GLS needs to exercising my expedience in reimbursing me.
