GTL has a contract with the Rappahannock Regional Jail in VA to provide telecom services to inmates including provision of tablets for streaming video and audio, virtual visits, texts and phone calls. ALL services provided are broken. Tablets are cheap and audio is nonexistent. streaming services time out constantly, texting word count limits rise and fall constantly, phone calls cut out. This is the tip of the iceberg. I have made MANY complaints to GTL executive Anthony Pellegrino and Sr. command at the Rappahannock site and NOTHING is resolved. NOTHING. Inmates and their loved ones pay exorbitant rates for these broken services. These are longstanding problems. The ONLY thing that GTL dedicates any money or energy toward is to services related to receiving money to pay for them.

Abysmal Service - The WORST!

If I could give a 0 rating, I would. I emailed company due to an issue with an incorrect phone number listed on my account, which isn't mine, and I couldn't get person to talk to to resolve it. If I log in with the incorrect number, someone else will be able to use my account with my funds. I need to get this resolved. TWO MONTHS later I received an email giving me the same number to call that got me nowhere the first time I tried to call. I finally found the number listed on the business review page, called, and waited and waited and waited and waited. No one ever answered. This is one of the WORST companies I have ever dealt with. If you call the number they list for customer support, all you get is half an hour of detention facilities being listed by an AI to "select". You cannot talk to a person!!! I also work in a prison and the inmates HATE this company. They also file service requests and wait MONTHS before anyone responds. CDCR needs to drop this company and find one that will actually solve problems and provide a person to talk to when problems arise that can't be solved with an automated recording. I'm so angry I could spit nails. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE!!!
