The Bradford property in Leola PA owned by Goldcrest properties is unfit and unsafe for human vacancy. Photographs and complaints have been sent directly to goldcrest about construction issues and safety issues in my unit going on 36 months now with no response. More recently the Bradford office was notified of local code and safety violations in my unit after maintenance closet was found to be leaking carbon monoxide from a faulty hot water heater exhaust. The time frame given to them by the code inspector came and went. I was without hot water, heat and laundy for over 3 months. That was one of many safety violations found in my unit. The Bradford management then lied to local code inspector and denied him final access to inspect my unit as they never completed repairs. Now they are suing me for withheld rent while this is resolved. Also had friable asbestos, broken asbestos tiles scattered throughout closet prior to repairs and more throughout bedroom following hot water heater replacement. They need to hire a remediation company to remove the old, damaged and broken asbestos flooring tiles from all of the tenants units. This property is out dated and unsafe, they perform no preventative maintenance or safety checks. Units all have lead paint flaking off doors, unsafe gas appliances ventilation, missing and inop smoke detectors and friable asbestos in multiple locations. Instead of fixing the situation I reported to the city they retaliated against me and are suing me. Resolution Sought Credit my rent for the 3+ months my unit was unsafe and unlivable. Repair and update All of the unsafe units on this property before someone dies. Remediate asbestos from all units properly.

Back in March our unit at river side foundry had a major water back up that caused the water to run through the retention walls from the third floor to the ground. Water was also leaking through the sprinkler system. This went on for 3 hours and at one point the maintenance popped a hole in the ceiling because the water was causing it to droop. Since then they have refused to inspect our house even though the plumber said it needed done since water was leaking through the walls where there is electrical wiring. The paint has since been peeling from the walls, the smoke alarms have been malfunctioning, the lights won't stay on, and our family has had health problems (the doctor said from most likely mold exposure). When we withheld rent because we wanted our home fixed, so it was safe for our children they evicted us and have been refusing to let us get our belongings. The disconnected our wifi so we can't use our cameras, and also completely trashed our daughters play room. Also last July there was an explosion 8 miles away where we felt our house shift, and they have never sent anyone to check the foundation. Our roof and door frames have cracks all around them and the doors won't even close. All of these have been voiced to the company and have been over looked. They also raised our rent and never gave us a notice. So many other things as well. Resolution Sought I want compensated from March when the water leak happened, and possibly last July when the explosion occurred.
