On Friday 2/17/24, my dog was having bloody urine. My husband took him to the Vet on Saturday morning, they ran some tests. The vet Dr Dunleavy called us that afternoon to report that our dog is borderline diabetic, he wanted to hospitalize our dog for several days so they can monitor his blood sugars every hour, which would cost us over $4,000.00. We asked the dr if they was a way we can monitor as my husband and I both have type 2 diabetes, the dr scheduled an appointment for us to have an appt. at 10:15. We arrived at the office at 10:05, my husband check us in, one of the staff approached us for the reason of our visit, we explained that Dr Dunleavy set up a consultation for us to speak to Dr Taylor with other ways we can do the treatment. People were walking in without an appt and they were taken inthe back within 5 minutes, we sat in the lobby being ignored for an hour. I asked if we should have just walked in, she told us that when you have an appointment they can take up to an hour to get us seen by the vet, we had waited for 55 minutes and 10 minutes later they took us into an office, the vet did not come in so we left . The dr called us at 5:00 yesterday afternoon to talk to us, the vet stated that all of the other pets that came in while we were there were all emergencies. We did not see or hear anyone come upset or panicking because their pet was having a medical emergency. I called their office at 8:00 this morning and have not heard back from the vet or anyone Resolution Sought I would appreciate them calling to discuss this matter, as Dr Dunleavy made us believe that we needed to be seen as soon as possible and then we were ignored for over an hour and told that they have a right to make us sit and wait even with an appt, when others did walk-ins and were treated nucrly
