Gravelle Family Contracting LLC complaints

Contractor was suppose to replace my roof 8/23/22. Paid 7000.00 deposit 8/9. Received receipt saying to replace roof. Went on internet and could not find references etc. Emailed and asked for him to send references and a detail proposal as to what he would Replace, Install, Remove and Dispose. He sent me a copy of some insurance. On 8/11 I emailed him and told I'd like to cancel and to return my deposit. He said he was sending everything over. I received a link to proof of insurance Next. 8/11 I emailed him and sent him a sample what I wanted from him. He did not put anything in writing instead he said "I was going to do same thing that's all part of replacing the roof," I said I'd like to cancel and please return my deposit. There were a few more emails and one phone call where I told him I was waiting on the check, "Just wanna check to see if you still wanna proceed with the job. You stated way after 3 days that you want to cancel. I held the check for 3 days then deposit as you asked". Last email- I sent you emails I cancelled within 3 days. You did not send what I requested. You lied to me about holding the check for 3 days. I went to my bank the next day 8/10. The check was paid by my bank on 8/10. I have where I called you and you said you mailed the check 3 days ago. Then you turned around and said you did not say that. I have your #as an outgoing call. Resolution Sought I just need my money back. It is obvious that he never did any roofing and had no references. He just ran to the bank as quickly as possible and deposited the check.
