I spent half an hour on the phone this morning with a representative named Emilio at Great HealthWorks, who apparently finally granted my request for auto-refill cancellation of their Omega XL product after a long and protracted ordeal. This was a much more difficult task than it should have been, which I attribute to the questionable business practices of this company. My first point is that the nature of "auto refills" was not made obvious at all when I placed my first order. I also found their cancellation process to involve literally every trick in the book to confuse and delay, with what seemed to be a goal of non-compliance. I was told that I would have to make another call before May 30, for example, or the refills would start up all over again. This tactic involves nothing more than an expectation that the customer will forget to make the call. My final understanding with Emilio is that this should no longer be necessary. Quite conveniently, he also informed me that their email system was having issues, at which time I requested the confirmation number manually. The number he supplied was 3401198291. At this point I have no guarantee that there actually has been a cancellation, although I did send a follow-up email to their customer service department. Interesting that I received an auto-reply to that email immediately, but somehow they can't find a way to email me a cancellation confirmation Resolution Sought Absolute guarantee and conformation that no more "refill" odrs be sent to me and charged to my credit card.
