On February 24th I parked my vehicle in a lot and paid $9.43 for two hours from 9:46pm-11:46pm I again paid and wash charged for an additional two hours at 11:03pm. My vehicle was subsequently towed at 12:27am. When I arrived my car was on the back of the tow truck and he demanded $140. I looked for posted signs and saw there weren't any posted that identified the tow company telephone number and/or laws/penal codes. I contacted police and the tow truck subsequently drove off. When police arrived they performed an investigation and determined that the appropriate laws to include penal codes and repercussions were not posted. I was never informed of my vehicles location within the designated 1hr timeframe. I went to the tow yard and informed them that the car was illegally towed and as such it should be returned. The tow yard forced me to pay. Police were called I provided them with the evidence to include but not limited to my pending investigation, records of me paying for four hours worth of parking, and the parking lot without appropriate posting. They acknowledged that the tow company was wrong and still told me I had to pay despite the facility operating outside of code. I have screenshots of every phone call, every badge number, and receipts. I sat in the cold for four hours completely unaware of the whereabouts of my vehicle due to a poorly operated facility. Resolution Sought I'm requesting a full reimbursement, full audit of the business, and results.
