What an absolute " horrible" experience. I recently moved to the area and needed a storage unit quickly and was referred by someone to this nasty, dirty, unsafe facility. My first warning sign was when I was trying to secure the unit. The older woman in the office was rude and dismissive when I was asking questions about the unit. Normal questions that people ask. She also became almost belligerent when I asked why she was charging a deposit amount the same as the storage monthly price. Her answer was " because we have to clean these units when people leave them dirty". I assured her that I was not those people. Against my better judgment I went ahead with the transaction paying the required deposit as well as first months rent. I rent storage unit #17, Imagine my utter surprise when I go to open the unit up and it's dirty, filled with cobwebs, spider webs, and had not been swept out or clean! I immediately call to inform the older woman that the unit is filthy. Please keep in mind that the office is 30 minutes from where the units are located. I then still have to drive another 60 minutes to where I am residing. This woman tells me I can come back and get my money back or wait until Friday when the owner can come and clean the unit out. I have two vehicles filled with things to off load. Still not seeing the inconvenience to " me" the customer. And delaying my ability to use a storage unit that I have already paid money for. Getting my deposit back now has become an issue. Resolution Sought This business needs to make clear to customers before taking their money that the units may indeed be dirty and accommodate the customer financially for having to clean their own unit out. This business must also be True to their word to give a refund back in a specified date and time and keep their promise to do so. No one has time to guess when they can come and pick up their monies owed. I believe this business should also be willing to publicly share who the owner is by name.
