Two plumbers were sent to my house to detect a foul odor that was coming from my bathroom. They discussed what the smell could be after flushing the toilet once. The plumbers used no other methods were used for this process. They explained the smell could be coming up from the tub since it hadn't been used in months. We then asked the plumbers how much you charge to replace a check value onto our sump pump. We already purchased the check value. The plumbers stated that they do not handle the billing process but would take no time and effort in doing business. My wife agreed to let them do the work because she thought it was a courtesy job; she stated she had no idea they would charge her. Several days later, we received a bill by email outlining the charges that two plumbers performed. We contacted the company to dispute the charges because we never received a quote nor signed an agreement to perform services. We don't mind paying for their service but at a reasonable price. I received an unprofessional email from their president stating the breakdown of charges and our choice of paying it or not. Resolution Sought Decrease the amount billed to a reasonable price since there is no signed quote or agreement. They also sent out two plumbers for a one plumber job. That wasn't agreed upon as well.

Company states: I never spoke with Mr. Jonas, he was only sending me emails. His wife was the person who initially called us to explain the problem. The problem was misdiagnosed by the customer in the first place, as they requested to bring equipment that would not be used. The customer was billed, but has not paid us and we're not expecting any money. The complainant can find a different plumbing contractor in future.

We did not intend to not pay anything for our initial call to the plumbing company. The company never scheduled a formative appointment with my wife. The plumbers that work for the company just happened to call us the following day and said they were coming. At that time, we agreed to let them come. My wife called because we had a toilet drainage problem, to begin with, and had a foul smell. She suggested that the toilet be snaked if needed to be. Plumbers came to the house and flushed the toilet, and the drainage was satisfactory. The plumber indicated that the problem could be the fumes from the gas in the unused shower in the same bathroom. My wife agreed to use the bathroom more to solve that issue. No other work was performed for that incident. She stated that she would like a quote for installing a check valve for the sump pump. I have explained the situation with that. I will not use this plumbing service or any company that doesn't supply a quote or contract. The company can find other customers in the future.
