Never stay at the Colton Hampton Suites unless you want to be robbed!!!!
Hilton Honors is the parent company of the Hampton Inn & Suites, Colton where I stayed and "someone" came into my room and took over $2320 in cash while I was in the spa. After searching the room thoroughly myself, moving all the furniture and bedding, nothing was found, however i received a call the next day with "some of the money", which was in all different dominations than what was stolen out of my room. I advised this was not resolved and wanted to file a claim but it feel on deaf ears. This was not a pair of earrings I lost and when you pay for a room/ motel/hotel, apt or home, you have an expectation of privacy and security and if they have insurance, they need to allow me to file a claim. Needless to say, the newly assigned General Manager John Patty has not only NOT contacted me to follow up with me out of good customer service, but has blatantly refused to allow me to file a claim with the insurance company claiming they "closed the case", Colton Police Department states they have done all they can in this civil matter after i had to call everyday to check on the status but they ended up suggesting I call Mr. Patty at the Hamptons to see if he will make a goodwill gesture to resolve this matter, however upon calling Mr. Patty, he states they will not be allowing me to file a claim with his location and claimed I already filed a claim with Hilton and it was denied. Although Hilton claims they cannot file a claim because it must be done at the local level at the specific location. I have all the emails and verbatim documentation from all parties including Mr. Patty who which I may add was never a party to the night of the theft/robbery. Looks like I will need to take to social media and an local news outlets to see if the Colton Hampton Suites Inn will do the right thing and issue me a refund or provide me a gift card in the remaining amount of $1280.00!......this matter is NOT over and will NOT be over until the funds/credit have been provided to me. I will take each necessary step and go to court if i must but want to ensure I dont waste government time on something that should be taken care of at the lowest level of customer care which is obviously not the case for the Colton Hampton Inn Suites under the Hilton parent corporation, it would seem to me SOMEONE would be looking out for the customer instead of wasting time and efforts on covering up a clear inside job of THEFT!
