I pre paid for a stay at the Kenwood location of the Hampton Inn. The AGM Korin refused to honor the rate I'd pre paid through Hilton.com. She did not make any contact with me prior to my arrival. Instead, I showed up to check in right after I'd just had spinal surgery and she refused to give me my room unless I agreed to a higher rate than what I prepaid. Hilton reached out to try to work with her and Korin refused. She was condescending and told me that it was a $200 a night hotel to shame me. It wasn't about the money, I had the money to pay but all I wanted was for them to honor the original daily rate that I'd prepaid. I felt they were trying to take advantage of someone in an altered mental state to get more money than what I'd paid. Additionally they offered no solutions, I was the person who had to reach out to Hilton, the GM, and another booking company to find a place I could lay down. I live on the third floor of a building with no elevator. I could not go home, and I could not book elsewhere at the same rates because most places were more expensive for a last minute booking. Korin did not care and made it clear she did not want me "taking up space" at the hotel desk. Her supervisor did end up offering to let us have the room at the rate we'd pre paid but only after I'd been standing in the lobby for two hours and paid more elsewhere. Resolution Sought I'd like the business to refund me, and to honor their legitimately booked and paid for services. I'd like to prevent this from ever happening again.
