They expanded my deck by 6ft, but he never gapped the 20ft boards to let the rain drain through. Bur he gapped the stairs. He told me that they didn't need to be, but I requested that he should redo them since the old part of the deck is gapped. He also split pieces of the wood on the stairs and used a board on the railing that keeps oozing pitch down the sides. He said he doesn't pick out the wood so he used what he brought with him. He refuses to redo the work. Now I have to hire someone else to make it right. Not sure how much that'll be yet. I'm so upset and tired of all the excuses as to why he won't fix the issues. Resolution Sought I want the 20ft boards gapped and to have the piece of wood replaced that oozing pitch and replace the stair treds since they are splitting. It rains a lot here and eventually the boards will warp.
