Ray Harrison was contracted to repaint, walls and ceiling. (July2021), Retape, mudd and sand drywall on ceiling. He was paid $1900 on his last day, but needed to return for touch-ups. He never returned. He was called and said he was on his way. He never returned. 6months later, cracking across ceiling appeared as well as on one wall. He was emailed about the situation in March and we set an appt for him to come see the garage ceiling and wall. He did not return or reschedule . Once again he was emailed to reschedule but he has never responded or come to see the cracks. Resolution Sought Give a refund so someone else can fix his poor job.

The services provided by us. We did not do the entire ceiling taping,& Mud. We only had taped and Muded areas that were not completed previous to our services. We have photos that can be provided of what the ceiling looked like prior to when we started and after. The process must of not been properly hung, mudded, and sanded previous to our services especially since you are seeing a visual crack that long in the wall.We stand behind our work and hope you can find a resolution to this problem that has occurred. My suggestions as suggested in previous emails is find who the builders or the drywall contractor that originally hung it. They may have not followed all the steps to properly installing it. Please be advised that weather in the state of Illinois can cause cracks to appear and the stress of removal and installation of your new roof 3 months after the drywall repairs and painting can also cause this to happen as explained in previous emails. There are many factors that can cause this to happen as explained in many emails. We can send photos to better explain to you why this is potentially the fault of the original drywall hanger or builder of your property. We are sorry you are having these problems and hope you find a resolution. Thanks,

I have only owned this home 4yrs. I do not know who originally drywalled garage. Previous owner is deceased. I wanted you to come and look at it. Give your opinion and help us to find a solution. Roof hasn't affected any ceiling or walls in the house. Roofer says it is a dry wall issue. No one wants to take any responsibility, just blame someone else. I will have to pay for the job to be redone again. I will need to find someone who will stand by their work. Everyone just wants to do the bare minimum and take the money and run. I no longer trust anyone in the home repair business.

We understand your frustration with this crack. However, we observed the photos you had emailed and responded back to you with some reasons this could be occurring. If you would like to refer back to the emails, there is many reasons this could be happening but most likely environmental expansion and contraction in a garage that is a very common issue in an unheated garage in the Midwest. Again, We followed our procedure accordingly and sufficiently. We hope you find a solution to this occurrence.
