On 8/13/2023 I called Hansen Air Pros to check our central air/heat system. A technician named Cole arrived. He took pictures of the air handler unit & measured pressures of the compressor unit & deemed the system unrepairable. Then he got out his iPad which contained software for contracts for a new system. He connected with his supervisor to provide a quote for replacing the unit. They said that. If we approved they would waive the service call fee of $287 & would install the new system the very next day. Price quoted was $12,800.The exact same system can be purchased on line at HVAC DIRECT for less than $3,000 with no shipping charges. This was on Sunday. Their office called Monday saying that they had a "scheduling problem " & would not be able to install until Wednesday2 techs & 1 laborer arrived 2 hours late on Wednesday. They were here for 3 hrs. They left saying the system would shortly cool down the house which was 80 degrees. After running constantly for 25 hours at a set point of 70,it would not get below 75. Over the next 8 days 8 different techs came out replacing suspected parts making adjustments, recharging the system. One day I called them at 7:44AM & the tech arrived at 5:45pm. Finally on 8/28 the technical supervisor,Tim came out .He replaced the Expansion valve for 2nd time, but he also discovered that a "jumper " on the main terminal strip that was supposed to be removed was still installed. This kept the central fan from running at the proper speed. HELP Resolution Sought We want money back.
