Company Response

The customer notified Highway and Heavy Parts of a possible warranty on 6 injectors. The customer returned the injectors for warranty inspection. The injectors were tested and it was found the cause of failure was due to aggressive cleaning of the nozzles which results in the material rolling into the holes and not a defect in the manufacturing of the injector. The customer was provided with this information and spoke to our Technical Representative on two occasions (March 17 & 18) to discuss the outcome and explanation of the denial. The customer was charged for freight to have the injectors returned due to the warranty claim being denied. This is explained on the warranty form that the customer completed. $15 was charged to the customer on the original shipping charges (Freight to the customer) The $30 freight charge was for return freight for inspection and return to the customer. The customer was notified and accepted these charges at the time they requested the parts be returned to them.
