I applied for a rental application on 8/28 and was approved the next day. I received a phone call to submit the deposit that day because I wanted to move in 9/1 and needed to secure the spot. I paid the deposit later that day and emailed to confirm that my deposit was received. I received a dousing and some other receipts confirming both my move in date of 9/1 and a deposit of $1495. The day before the 1st of the month I hadn't heard anything about what the key was or how to pay for the rent after being informed on 8/28 that she would send me information regarding both of these the next day. I then accepted the fact that I might not move in on the 1st and that perhaps since it was Labor Day weekend there were no agents to help me. I emailed consistently however and texted and called over the next few days just to make sure that everything was still in plan. I received one email back saying they were waiting on management on 9/1. Since than there has been no correspondence - all my texts are either left on delivered or saying that they are in a house tour or inspection and all my calls go to voicemail and no call back after I leave a voice mail. This is completely unprofessional and borderline scamming since I have not received the keys to the apartment as of yet. Considering I will not be moving in for at least 5 days after my supposed lease start date I would like to have the month of September prorated to whenever they find time to get back to me. Resolution Sought They give me a prorated rent for the month of September, inform me on how to access the studio and how to pay rent.

This business denied my rental application stating that my bank account ending balances were not enough for them to be able to rent to me. That the amount spent on rent and utilities and the fact that my statements showed that I paid my rent and utilities didn't matter. They told me that I did not have enough "assets" for them to be able to rent to me. Resolution Sought I want my money back. Or I want the opportunity to rent the unit I applied to rent.
