We are having a major problem as a timeshare investor having spent thousands of dollars to Holiday Inn Vacation Club and now they have become unresponsive when directly questioning them about the removal from our agreement. We signed up when we were approached by their agents to attend a presentation in which we endured a high amount of pressure and aggressive sales agents. Several quotes were presented for purchase which we declined, but they kept persisting until finally we came to a dollar amount agreement. Honestly, we just wanted to get out of there and be left alone. Before signing the contract we asked repeatedly if in case we decided we did not need this timeshare, would we be able to sell and get out of it entirely, she said, "Absolutely". We were rushed through the process with little time to read and comprehend what it was all about. We could not take the papers with us and review on our own time and come back later…all decisions had to be made right then and there. Our attempts to use the timeshare has been difficult and reservations at the locations and time we would like are always booked. We can't travel when we would like, we have to travel when it is convenient for Holiday Inn Club. Even when we do book a facility, we are hassled to attend more meetings to upsell and pay more. Currently, we ended payments because Holiday Inn Club will not work with us as "owners" and now they will not work with us even though we have not been paying. Resolution Sought We want out of our timeshare club membership agreement.

Please allow us to address a major consent as consumers having a timeshare we bought through the Holiday Inn Vacation Club. The initial purchase occurred in 2016 and we now have two separate mortgages tied to this timeshare. We upgraded to a second timeshare in February 2024 hoping for better results, but nothing has happened. We've only taken 3 vacations since buying and booking has become extremely difficult. Using our points is difficult and always includes buying more to do so. Our travel plans are non-existent at this point because we are always struggling to pay for all the mortgage and maintenance fees, especially when there are better vacation options out there. Our three children do not want to be responsible for this timeshare and we don't want our family to be dealt with this poor investment. It seems unless we are calling Holiday Inn to pay our fees or to book a trip, they will not respond to us when we have asked to be let out. Having these is not what we bargained for and not what we expected. We felt misled from the start and it is clear, that is part of their timeshare game. We would like to make other consumers aware of this and share our story in hopes of getting something positive out of this. Resolution Sought We would like for Holiday Inn to refund a portion of our money and terminate our agreement.
